Dr. Westine began his medical career as an undergraduate at the University of Florida where he graduated Summa Cum Laude, the highest honors bestowed on an undergraduate. After completing his undergraduate career, Dr. Westine moved on to the University of Florida’s College of Medicine. While pursuing his graduate degree, Dr. Westine was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. After completing a four year training residency at the University of Florida’s Department of Otolaryngology (head and neck surgery).
Following his residency, Dr. Westine decided that his medical focus would be on facial and reconstructive surgery. He pursued his goals at the University of Illinois at Chicago where he received at Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship. Alongside some of the best and brightest in the industry, Dr. Westine established himself as skilled and dependable surgeon. Dr. Westine is certified by the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery as well as the American Board of Otolaryngology.
Alongside his work as a surgeon, Dr. Westine has published articles in dozens of medical journals and books including a well-received piece in the American Journal of Long Term Effects of Medical Implants. He was also invited to speak at the well-known Florida Cosmetic Surgery Exposition. Dr. Westine received the G. Slaughter and Fitz-Hugh Research Award and was chosen as Resident Teacher of the Year in the University of Florida's Department of Otolaryngology. He is an active member of the International Society of Hair Restorations, and the American Academy of Otolaryngology. Dr. Westine is a Certified Diplomat of the prestigious American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, a prestigious group of only 1000 qualified surgeons throughout the United States and Canada. Its members specialize in plastic and reconstructive surgery of the face, eyes, nose, ears, head, and neck. He is also certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology. Dr. Westine was recognized as one of “America’s Top Physicians” in 2007.
Dr. Westine has over 3,000 procedures under his belt, all of which focused exclusively on facial rejuvenation. Dr. Westine is a native of Delray Beach, Florida where he lives today with his wife Tina and three children. Despite his busy schedule attending to patients, Dr. Westine serves as adjunct clinical assistant professor at the University of Florida, and donates his time to operate with and teach facial plastic surgery to surgical residents there. In his precious free time, Dr. Westine enjoys tennis and boating with his family.
